need to contact me?

I took down my Contact Form because the majority of the messages I received from it were people either sending me spam or asking to work with me to revamp my site. I'm not interested in either of those things, and even with a clear message on the page asking them not to contact me, they still did.

so, how do you contact me with a question?

Easy! I still want to hear from you, and I love to help. You can contact me in one of these three ways to accomplish that.

  1. Use the Comments section at the bottom of the post you came here to read and I'll reply as soon as I can. Those messages (usually) go to my personal email and I do read them. Or,
  2. Email me at mailto:debsdigitaltips@gmail.com. (Please do not use this email to send me an offer re: website/SEO or other services for this site. I will not reply. Thank you.) Or,
  3. You can visit my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/debsdigitaltips and message me through that page. I list this as the 3rd option because I am not fabulous at catching these messages in a timely manner, so the other options are probably better to try first. However, I will do my best.

Hope this helps!

  1. This is most likely a dumb question, but why is my Vault named “Bernice’s Vault”, but my Shadow Copy file path says “Historian 4.0 Shadow Copy\Sample Archive (Shadow copy)”? I suspect that’s a carryover from when it was Memory Manager. Anyway, I want to change the name before I start using the External Hard Drive that I just purchased. How can I do that?

  2. Hi, Bernice. This is not a dumb question! And setting up a new EHD is the PERFECT time to rename your shadow copy. The easiest way to do that is to Stop Protection on your current Shadow Copy and then Start Protection when you plug in the new drive to create a fresh new Shadow Copy. When you set up the new Shadow Copy, it should mimic the name of your current vault. (Note: that first full shadow copy takes some time depending on the size of your vault, so I like to run it overnight or when I know I won’t be using the computer for a while.)

Please let me know if that doesn’t help!
