The front page doesn’t look a lot different, but as soon as you go to look under the hood, you’ll see that some things have changed.
Here’s a quick overview video I shot just showing the basics of what has changed.
I actually LOVE the updates for multiple reasons.
Changing the name of the Library to Gallery is a great thing. It is consistent with what many of our phone apps call their photo repositories, and it just sounds better. A Library is for books. A Gallery is where you go to see beautiful things. Just saying.
The Gallery still serves the same purpose that the Library did. This is the one big bucket that holds all of your photos. This is NOT where you organize them.
OMG … we can apply multiple filters! That is a game changer!
I kind of showed how this works in the video. I’m also going to shoot a more detailed video about using those filters. You can now find those filter options in both the Gallery AND in the Albums.
PEOPLE! I love the new Facial Recognition! Once again, I’m going to shoot a separate video about that, but it is SO FUN!
