Installing the Update to Storybook Creator 4 from Panstoria

You've heard about this for weeks now, and if you've opened Storybook Creator, you've probably been prompted to update. This is important to do, because it will allow you to create projects to be printed at the Panstoria Print Shop, which offers some fun new items. (You can get an idea about what's offered in my post A First Glance at the Panstoria Print Shop.)

If you've already done it, great! You're all set.

If you haven't done it yet, here's a quick video to walk you through the process.

  1. Deb, I have been trying like mad to update my SB4 with the panstoria update. I don’t get the licensing agreement to agree to and when I try to upload content I always get this error “This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control”. Im embarrassed to say that I got SB in 12 and am just learning to use it. I have windows 8 and have gone through your tutorial and still have no luck. Any thing you could suggest would be great. Thank you

  2. Hi, Kristi.

I hate to say it, but I believe the problem is coming up because the update needed to be applied before the end of 2013. I will try to verify that, but I’ve found out with my own computer issues that the servers that were used to activate MM and SBC went offline on December 31st. I had to make the upgrade to Artisan when my computer died last month because I could no longer reactivate SBC.

The good news is, Artisan costs about the price of an upgrade with SBC, and you can use the license on two computers. (I’ve had friends wanting that feature for years.)

You could try contacting Panstoria, but that is the information I’ve been given over and over again.

    ~ Deb
