A First Glance At The Panstoria Print Shop

This is the time of year when I wake up one morning and realize that if I want custom presents for family under the Christmas tree, I only have weeks left to get the project completed and ordered!

In the past, I've known exactly what I wanted to do because I knew what Creative Memories offered.  Now that Panstoria is taking care of our software and we have an update to Storybook Creator allowing us to print through their Print Shop, it's time to check out what Panstoria has to offer.

So here's the official tour of the Panstoria Print Shop

I started at Panstoria's site and clicked on the link for Print Shop along the top menu bar.

The Print Shop opens in a separate window/tab with a full list of project options.

The first thing I wanted to check out was the options for photo books, as that's what I print the most.

Photo Books

Panstoria offers six (6) different sizes for their hardcover photo books and four (4) sizes in softcover.  All books start with the first 21 pages, and additional pages are $1.50 each.  They offer books in the following sizes:

Photo Books

Hardcover books:

~ 5 x 5 starting at $24.99

~ 7 x 5 starting at $27.99

~ 8 x 8 starting at $29.99

~ 11 x 8 1/2 (Portrait or Landscape) starting at $34.99

~ 12 x 12 starting at $49.99*

Softcover books:

~ 7 x 5 starting at $12.99

~ 8 x 8 starting at $19.99

~ 8 1/2 x 11 (only in Portrait) starting at $20.99

~ 12 x 12 starting at $29.99

(* All prices are subject to change.  You should confirm the price on the Panstoria Print Shop page prior to ordering.)

Of course, the offerings don't stop there.  Books are the cornerstone, but the other products are where the gift-giving fun comes in.

Calendars

Panstoria CalendarsPanstoria offers two types of calendars.  One is similar to what you'll find at most photo printing sites in an 8 1/2 x 11 size.

The other is a 12×18 page-plus-calendar style like the one that Creative Memories offered.  If you haven't reviewed what your software can do with these types of calendars, you'll want to check out my previous posts on Building your Family Calendar.  (Don't forget Part 2!)

Both calendar options appear to offer the ability to insert photos into dates on the calendar portion, which is my favorite customization.  My family lives by these calendars now and we don't forget any more birthdays!

Page Prints

One other thing that I'm happy to see is the option to create Page Prints.  This means that I can still print full size 12×12 pages to include in my books and page frames.

Page Prints come in 12 x 12, 8 1/2 x 11, and 8 x 8, and are all priced at $2.99.

Custom Cards, Posters and Photo Gifts

I saved the best for last!  (Ok, it's all good.)  The fun, quick project options include:

  • Custom photo cards with matching envelopes – there are ten (10) different options to choose from
  • Canvas wraps for great wall art
  • Metal photo prints
  • Wall posters in four (4) different sizes
  • Custom mobile cases for iPhones, iPads, Galaxy and HTC.  (Hopefully they'll add mine soon!)
  • And then oodles of fun custom gifts like ornaments, mouse pads, mugs and more!

Custom Photo Gifts

Needless to say, I'm excited to try some of these options and see how they come out.  I'll keep you posted!

Please note: to create projects in Storybook Creator and order them through the Panstoria Print Shop, you'll need to make sure you have updated Storybook.  That's my next post, so stay tuned!

Until then, Enjoy!
